This Privacy Policy describes how PulseWatch ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our outage intelligence platform at pulsewatch.us and related services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, role, and authentication identifiers.
- Usage data — watchlists, alert rules, API requests, and in-product activity.
- Outage reports — voluntary disruption reports (issue type, optional city, ISP, note).
- Technical data — IP address, user agent, device type, and timestamps used for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
- Billing data — processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we never store full card numbers.
2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To detect and respond to incidents, abuse, and security events.
- To deliver alerts through the channels you configure (email, webhook, Slack).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
3. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers bound by confidentiality (hosting, email delivery, payments).
- Third-party delivery channels you configure (e.g., your Slack workspace, your webhook).
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
4. Data retention
We retain account data while your account is active. Outage reports and incident history are retained according to your plan's retention window. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@pulsewatch.us.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard controls including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access control, signed webhooks, and audit logging. No system is 100% secure — report suspected vulnerabilities to security@pulsewatch.us.
7. International transfers
PulseWatch operates globally. Your data may be processed outside your country. We use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-product notice.
